Lebanese Army calls on citizens to maintain national unity

The Lebanese Army Command called on citizens, on Sunday, to preserve national unity and not to be dragged into actions that may affect civil peace. The command said in a statement: "Following the Zionist enemy's persistence in its criminal attacks that resulted in the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and more than a thousand martyrs, in addition to thousands of wounded during the past days, the Army Command calls on citizens to preserve national unity and not to be dragged into actions that may affect civil peace at this dangerous and delicate stage in the history of our country." It pointed out that "the Zionist enemy is working to implement its sabotage plans and spread division among the Lebanese." It pointed out that "the Army Command will continue to take the necessary security measures and carry out its national duty to preserve civil peace, and calls on citizens to respond to these measures and work in accordance with national unity, which remains the only guarantee f or Lebanon."
