Beirut: President of the Republic of Lebanon General Joseph Aoun affirmed that Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are non-negotiable. President Aoun called on the people of the south to exercise self-control and trust in the Lebanese Armed Forces.

According to Qatar News Agency, President Aoun stated, “I share with our people in the south the joy of the victory of truth and I call on them to exercise self-control and trust in the Lebanese armed forces.” He emphasized that the Lebanese army stands alongside all citizens, wherever they may be, and will continue its commitment to ensuring their protection and maintaining security. He noted that together, the nation will remain strong and united under the banner of Lebanon.

Earlier, the Israeli entity had opened fire on civilians in villages and towns in southern Lebanon, resulting in one fatality and wounding 17 others. It is noteworthy that today marks the end of the sixty-day deadline for the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army forces from the border villages and towns in southern Lebanon, as stipulated in the ceasefire agreement reached on November 27.
