MME, represented by the Public Relations Department, has launched a cultural initiative, entitled ?Mangrove: History ? Culture ? Wealth? as part of DCCIW events.

The initiative featured playing video about Mangrove Trees, shedding light on the historic value, the purposes and uses of Mangrove as well as the importance of preserving it.

In order to promote social participation, a maritime cultural tour was organized by associates of Green Future Initiative, heading to Al Thakira Mangrove Reserve in Murrayah area. In the tour, the participants were introduced to the Mangrove Reserve, and the continuous efforts invested in preserving Mangroves considering the fact that it is a part of the Qatari environmental heritage.
