Riyadh: The match schedule for 2022 Asian Men's Handball Championship was announced on Monday. The event will be held in Saudi Arabia from 18 to 31 January 2022.

The championship serves as qualification event for the 2023 IHF Men's World Championship in Poland and Sweden.

Defending champions Qatar have been drawn with the UAE, Iraq and Oman in Group C. Team Qatar will take on Oman on January 20 in the beginning of their campaign in the event.

Team Qatar claimed the title of the last edition held in Kuwait after beating South Korea 33-21 in the final match.
