MECC Announces Resumption of Sheep and Goat Grazing, Stresses Adherence to Safety Guidelines

Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) has announced the resumption of nationwide grazing for sheep and goat following the end of the annual seasonal ban, which runs from December 1 to March 15.

According to Qatar News Agency, a Ministry statement on Tuesday said the measure is in line with Ministerial Resolution No. 15 of 2025, which regulates grazing practices and extends the ban on camel grazing to protect vegetation and maintain ecological balance.

Livestock owners and herders were urged to comply with instructions issued by the relevant authorities, especially when hearing warning sirens, to move to safe areas and avoid open spaces to ensure personal safety.

The announcement highlights Qatar's efforts to balance sustainable livestock management with environmental protection.
