Doha: HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater stressed the significance of celebrating the International Day of Education by turning the theme “Education is Everyone’s Responsibility” into reality, adding that education is a fundamental pillar in driving sustainable development. This statement was made during her visit to Al Ahnaf bin Qais Preparatory Independent School for Boys, on the occasion of the International Day of Education.

According to Qatar News Agency, Her Excellency indicated that education today constitutes a major axis for achieving social justice and sustainable development, and contributes to enhancing the development of individual capabilities and building a prosperous and sustainable future. Her Excellency praised the level of activity enjoyed by the school’s students and commended the efforts made by the teachers and the technical and administrative staff at the school to support the educational process, hone the students’ skills, and provide them with full support.

The State of Qatar celebrates the International Day of Education, which falls on Jan. 24 each year, by organizing many educational, cultural, scientific, and sports activities, in partnership with parents.
