Doha: The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has called on all Muslims living in Qatar to sight the crescent of Shawwal on Saturday evening, Ramadan 29, 1446 AH, corresponding to March 29, 2025. The committee emphasized the importance of this event for determining the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwal, which marks the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

According to Qatar News Agency, the committee has requested that anyone who sights the crescent head to the committee’s headquarters at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in the Al Dafna (Towers) area to report their testimony. This process is crucial for the official confirmation of the crescent sighting.

The committee will convene immediately after the Maghrib prayer on the same day to review any testimonies received and make an official determination regarding the sighting of the crescent. This meeting is a vital part of the process to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the crescent sighting reports.
