MOEHE: One-time rapid antigen test is obligatory for everyone

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has stressed the need for all administrative and teaching staff as well as students in all public and private nurseries, kindergartens, and schools to conduct a rapid antigen test at home or one of the designated centers, within 48 hours before schools resume the new semester. The Ministry pointed out that this test is required at the beginning of the new academic year and not weekly.

This came in a statement issued by MOEHE, based on its ongoing preparations for the 2022/2023 academic year, its efforts to combat the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and in the light of the current health indicators of the pandemic, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health.

Moreover, MOEHE underlined the obligation of administrative and teaching staff, and students to wear masks while in schools and higher education institutions, in accordance with the Cabinet decision in this regard. Administrative and teaching staff, as well as students of higher education institutions, must show green EHTERAZ status before entering the facilities.
