MoPH Hosts Informative Sessions on Qatar’s National Health Strategy 2024-2030

Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) recently organized five informative sessions on the National Health Strategy 2024-2030 for senior executive officials in the health sector and healthcare providers. The sessions aimed to foster a shared understanding and enhance cooperation to ensure successful implementation of the strategy, with the goal of creating a unified vision for the future of healthcare in Qatar.

According to Qatar News Agency, the sessions focused on informing key public and private health stakeholders about the aspirations, priorities, and outcomes of the National Health Strategy 2024-2030. Presentations, open discussions, and interactive conversations were used to shape a common understanding of the strategy’s impact on the healthcare sector, emphasizing strategy-related projects and their phased implementation over the coming years.

MoPH’s Strategic Planning, Performance and Innovation Department provided an overview of the strategy’s priorities, outcomes, initiatives, and projects. They explained how it was designed based on Qatar’s National Vision 2023 and the Third National Health Development Strategy 2024-2030, which served as a foundation for its development.

The sessions highlighted the alignment of the National Health Strategy with the long-term vision for Qatar’s healthcare system, detailing how stakeholders from both the public and private sectors can contribute to its success. The strategy identifies three priority strategic areas: improving population health and well-being, excellence in service delivery and patient experience, and the efficiency and resilience of the healthcare system.

The National Health Strategy aims to build a “health-focused society supported by a comprehensive healthcare system based on clinical excellence, sustainability, and innovation.” The strategy will be implemented until 2030, featuring an executive plan addressing priority areas and aiming to achieve 15 outcomes through various initiatives and projects.

To support the strategy’s implementation, a comprehensive communication plan has been developed. This plan aims to raise awareness among stakeholders, ensure continuous communication with patients to enhance their participation in their healthcare journey, and improve patient satisfaction across healthcare facilities. The strategy also prioritizes the patient experience, continues previous projects, and supports Qatar’s economic diversification agenda.
