MOT Engages in Global Transport Dialogue at ITF Summit 2026

Leipzig: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Transport, took part in the International Transport Forum (ITF) 2026 Summit in Leipzig, Germany, from May 6 to 8. The event was held under the theme "Financing Resilient Transport."

According to Qatar News Agency, the forum, chaired this year by Azerbaijan, explored ways to enhance the resilience of transport systems in addressing economic, technological, and environmental challenges. Discussions included best practices for financing transport infrastructure projects and supporting the transition towards sustainable and innovative transport systems.

The Ministry of Transport stated that its participation aimed to strengthen partnerships and engage in constructive dialogue while keeping pace with global policies and trends in the transport sector. The ministry also sought to enhance cooperation with countries and international organizations and held bilateral meetings with counterparts from other nations to support national interests and facilitate the exchange of expertise.

The summit gathered transport ministers worldwide, along with representatives from international organizations, the private sector, and experts. It is recognized as one of the most prominent global events in the transport sector, serving as the largest annual gathering for transport ministers and decision-makers to discuss policies, future trends, and promote international cooperation.
