Municipalities Minister visits National Guard project for fish farming

Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak visited National Guard project for fish farming at Hidd Camp.

The visit aimed to discuss the experience of fish farming using floating ponds and ways of cooperation in this field.

The minister praised the directives of National Guard President General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa for his support for the fish farming project, which is in line with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030.

Al Mubarak stressed the National Guard's role in enhancing food security for the Kingdom to benefit from Military Consumer & Economics Association of the National Guard through the implementation of a national project for fish farming with the aim of developing marine wealth.

The minister affirmed keenness to support various fish farming projects and initiatives, which are considered promising contributions to raising the production capacity of fish food in Bahrain.

Al-Mubarak noted the importance of benefiting from the various experiences in fish farming to develop fish production in Bahrain, stressing cooperation with various parties interested in these projects to enhance food security.
