MWL Condemns Israeli Entity’s Announcement of Appointing Envoy to the So-called “Somaliland”

Geneva: The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned Israeli entity's announcement of appointing a diplomatic envoy to the so-called "Somaliland": The Muslim World League (MWL) has expressed strong condemnation in response to the Israeli entity's decision to appoint a diplomatic envoy to the self-declared region of "Somaliland."

According to Qatar News Agency, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced the act, labeling it a violation targeting the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia and its territorial unity. He emphasized that this move poses a threat to both regional and international peace and security by contradicting the principles of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the Constitutive Act of the African Union.

Dr. Al-Issa reaffirmed the League's steadfast position and full support for Somalia's unity, sovereignty, and legitimate institutions, which he stated are representative of the will of the Somali people.
