Kyiv: Ukrainian authorities announced Thursday that one person was killed and 16 others were injured in a Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
According to Qatar News Agency, Ukrainian news agency (Ukrinform) reported that Kyiv was subjected to a large-scale attack last night, resulting in one death and 16 injuries, in addition to damage to numerous buildings and homes.
Preliminary reports indicate that some people remain trapped under the rubble, while search and rescue operations are ongoing.
The Russian-Ukrainian war, which began in February 2012, has seen no progress toward a comprehensive political settlement, with military operations and exchanges of attacks continuing between the two sides, despite intermittent diplomatic efforts led by various international parties to halt the fighting.
