Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, today, Monday, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iraq, Nasir Mammadov. The ambassador handed over an official invitation to the Prime Minister, from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference, which will be held in Azerbaijan next November. During the meeting, according to a statement by the PM's office, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to develop them, and strengthening the prospects for joint cooperation in many economic and cultural fields, and in the field of energy and investment. The two sides also touched on the situation in the region, the continuation of the Zionist occupation forces' brutal aggression against our Palestinian people in Gaza, and the importance of the international community and major powers bearing the responsibility of stopping this aggression and preserving the lives of civilians.
