Prime Minister of Qatar Discusses Regional Stability with Saudi Counterpart

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani engaged in a telephone conversation with HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud.

According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders discussed bilateral relations and explored avenues to support and enhance them. They also addressed regional developments, focusing on the ceasefire between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and discussed efforts aimed at reducing tensions to improve security and stability in the region.

During the conversation, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's condemnation of the recent drone attack on Saudi Arabia. He affirmed Qatar's solidarity with the Kingdom and voiced support for measures taken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and the well-being of its citizens and residents.

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani emphasized the importance of engaging with ongoing mediation efforts. He highlighted the need for addressing the crisis's root causes through peaceful dialogue, aiming for a sustainable agreement to prevent further escalation.
