The Unions and Federations of Iraq condemned the attack on the demonstrators, graduates of medical and health professions, while demanding the implementation of the Prime Minister's decision to appoint them. The Head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Haider Fouad, confirmed, in a joint press conference yesterday evening, Tuesday, the rejection of the policy of procrastination and delay in implementing the Medical Progression Law No. 6 of 2000, and their appointment in accordance with the law. The Head of the Pharmacists Syndicate called for implementing the decision of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and approving the filling of the shortage in job grades by appointing all graduates of medical and health professions for the year 2023, as well as referring the aggressors from the security forces to the competent courts to prosecute them, calling on the Ministry of Higher Education to coordinate with the medical and health professional unions to establish a mechanism to restrict random admission to medical colleges, both governmental and private. For its part, the Bar Association confirmed its readiness to form a team to defend the detainees and support the medical and health unions. The Head of the Bar Association, Ahlam Al-Lami, said: "We will prosecute everyone who assaulted the graduates from the lowest to the highest security rank, and we support our sons from the medical professions who are demanding their legitimate rights, and we categorically reject all unconstitutional practices "assault" against them, and we demand that the concerned authority hold accountable the negligent and aggressors, because demonstrations and legal demands are a constitutionally guaranteed right." In contrast, the head of the Dentists Syndicate, Abu Bakr Al-Rawi, called for implementing the decision of Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Sudani to appoint graduates of medical and health professions, stressing: 'The professional syndicates will not remain silent about the aggressors.'
