Doha: The State of Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s plans to create an agency aimed at displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. Additionally, Qatar criticized the approval to dismantle 13 unlawful settlement outposts in the West Bank, which is seen as a move toward legalizing them as colonial settlements.
According to Qatar News Agency, the State of Qatar emphasized that any form of Palestinian displacement is a clear breach of international law. The expansion of settlements, Qatar argues, disregards international legitimacy resolutions, particularly UN Security Council Resolution 2334.
In a statement released on Monday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to display strong solidarity and pressure the occupying power to adhere to peace efforts and cease the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and the resilience of the Palestinian people. This support aligns with international legitimacy resolutions and the two-state solution, aiming for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
