Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has released its latest deposit rates for various currencies, including the US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), Swiss Franc (CHF), British Pound (GBP), Qatari Riyal (QAR), Saudi Riyal (SAR), UAE Dirham (AED), and Bahraini Dinar (BHD).
According to Qatar News Agency, the opening deposit rates for the US Dollar start at 3.67855% for a 1-month term and reach up to 3.82105% for a 12-month term. The Japanese Yen maintains a steady rate of 0.70000% for 1-month and 2-month deposits, with a slight increase to 1.00000% for a 12-month term. In contrast, the Swiss Franc begins with a negative rate of -0.22000% for a 1-month deposit but shifts to a positive 0.29000% for 12-months.
The British Pound shows a more varied range, starting at 3.90000% for a 1-month deposit and peaking at 4.59000% for a 12-month term. For the regional currencies, the Qatari Riyal deposit rates decrease from 4.10000% for a 1-month deposit to 3.70000% for 12-months, whereas the Saudi Riyal holds a consistent rate of 4.30000% for 2-month, 3-month, and 12-month terms.
Depositors opting for the UAE Dirham will see rates increase from 2.05000% for a 1-month deposit to 3.15000% for a 12-month term. Finally, the Bahraini Dinar offers a rate beginning at 4.53000% for a 1-month deposit, gradually increasing to 4.60000% for 12-months.
