Doha: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned Tuesday’s explosion targeting the convoy of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, in Mogadishu, which resulted in fatalities.

According to Qatar News Agency, a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) reiterated Qatar’s firm stance against violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons behind such acts.

The statement also conveyed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Somalia.
