Doha: Qatari newspapers have addressed several key issues in their Tuesday editorials, focusing on joint efforts to establish security and support stability in the region. These efforts are evident through coordination, phone calls, and continuous consultations between friendly countries regarding developments in the region related to the ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The State of Qatar is actively working to reduce escalation in these matters.
According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers also discussed Qatar's strides in optimizing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and the Shura Council's discussions on regulating and governing AI in the country. These discussions are taking place in light of rapid transformations in the field and their impact on various vital sectors.
Al-Sharq newspaper emphasized the ongoing joint efforts to establish security, citing coordination and phone conversations between HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and regional counterparts. The discussions included cooperation with HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud and HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelaaty. These conversations focused on ensuring regional stability and advancing diplomatic efforts.
Al-Watan newspaper highlighted that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs has identified appropriate frameworks for a ceasefire between the US and Iran, aiming to reduce escalation. His Excellency emphasized the importance of responding to mediation efforts to address the crisis's root causes through dialogue, leading to a sustainable agreement. He also stressed the necessity of maintaining open sea lanes and avoiding their use as pressure tactics, given their impact on regional countries and global energy and food supplies.
