Qatar’s Hajj Mission Enhances Pilgrim Tent Facilities at Holy Sites

Qatar: Qatar's Hajj Mission is advancing its operations to equip the tents of Qatari pilgrims at the holy sites of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

According to Qatar News Agency, the mission is adhering to the highest regulatory and technical standards to ensure a seamless and secure pilgrimage experience. This effort is in collaboration with the authoritative agencies in Saudi Arabia, following approved operational plans to serve the pilgrims.

Mohammed Hassan Al Kaabi, Head of the Monitoring and Inspection Unit and the Holy Sites Services Unit at the Qatari Hajj Mission, stated that the tent preparation operations are proceeding according to a precise timeline. This approach has led to the completion of various works and equipment, ensuring comfort and safety for Qatari pilgrims during their religious rites.

The mission began planning equipment needs after the previous pilgrimage season by conducting field visits to the Holy Sites and holding meetings with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and other relevant entities in Saudi Arabia. These meetings facilitated clear mechanisms for preparations based on approved requirements and criteria. Additionally, a contract was secured with a major specialized tent equipment firm to meet the aspirations of Qatar's pilgrims and adhere to the best specifications.

Al Kaabi highlighted that tent equipment operations in Mina and Arafat began during Ramadan, focusing on enhanced ventilation, cooling systems, and equipping facilities with the highest standards. The operations also included improved catering services and electrical and water supplies, emphasizing safety, security, and regulation to maintain a comfortable atmosphere for pilgrims.

The mission's field task forces continuously monitor equipment operations under the full oversight of the mission's head and advisory committee. Al Kaabi assured that the goal is to ensure facilities comply with technical specifications and services are efficiently ready.

Al Kaabi also noted the cooperation with Saudi authorities has facilitated rapid response to requirements, ensuring smooth service delivery to Qatari pilgrims. This coordination supports the mission's capacity to provide multiple services and create conducive conditions before receiving pilgrims.

He emphasized that the mission's activities reflect Qatar's commitment to enhancing service quality and enabling a faithful and organized pilgrimage experience. Serving Qatari pilgrims is seen as a national humanitarian responsibility, with appreciation for the efforts by Saudi authorities to support pilgrims.

Al Kaabi reiterated that the collaboration with Saudi entities has streamlined preparations and procedures, creating an integrated operational environment for all pilgrims, including those from Qatar. He acknowledged the dedication of Saudi authorities to upgrading pilgrimage services, aiding pilgrims in performing their rites comfortably.

Al Kaabi urged Qatari pilgrims to follow instructions from pilgrimage operators and cooperate with administrative and field teams. Compliance with Saudi authorities' guidelines is crucial for ensuring safety and organization throughout the rites.

The mission confirmed that its efforts are part of Qatar's commitment to a secure pilgrimage experience, utilizing human, regulatory, and technological resources to facilitate Hajj rites. These actions align with Qatar's Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Strategy (2025-2030), focusing on enhancing Islamic rituals and their performance.

Overall, the mission aims to provide a comprehensive system for Qatari pilgrims, adhering to top standards and practices to meet their needs effectively.
