QSE Index Declines by 0.93% at Monday’s Opening

Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index fell by 0.93% at the start of Monday's trading, losing 97.81 points to reach 10,386 points, compared to the close of the last session.

According to Qatar News Agency, figures released by QSE attributed the decline in the general index to the negative performance of several sectors. The Industrial sector experienced a decrease of 1.09%, the Transportation sector fell by 1.04%, and the Real Estate sector dropped by 0.97%. Additionally, the Banking and Financial Services sector saw a decline of 0.89%, while the Telecoms sector fell by 0.73%. The Consumer Goods and Services sector and the Insurance sector also experienced declines of 0.45% and 0.26%, respectively.

As of 10:00 a.m., QSE recorded 4,506 transactions valued at QR 79.493 million, distributed over 38.436 million shares.
