Doha: The Regulatory Authority For Charitable Activities and the Excellence Center for Training and Consultation at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies launched Thursday the findings of research studies aimed at enhancing the role of charitable and humanitarian work in achieving sustainable development.
According to Qatar News Agency, Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Licensing and Support Department at QCRA, highlighted the necessity for humanitarian charitable organizations to adapt to rapid regional and global changes. He stressed the importance of innovation and sustainability in boosting the efficiency of these organizations to meet humanitarian and developmental goals. Al Nuaimi acknowledged the efforts and partnerships that facilitated the creation of these studies.
Ahmed Al Mawewri, Director of the Excellence Center for Training and Consultation, praised the collaboration between the institute and government entities in Qatar. He noted that this cooperation is crucial for advancing the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. The center’s role in providing strategic support to government institutions was emphasized as a means to improve institutional performance and foster scientific excellence.
Dr. Manal Ben Aqal, Head of Consulting and Projects at the Excellence Center, remarked on the event’s aim to bolster partnerships and integrate expertise through the dissemination of research findings. She stated that these studies are a vital step in advancing charitable work in Qatar by offering innovative solutions that enhance the capability of charitable organizations to address future challenges and meet sustainable development goals.
The event included panel discussions where researchers presented their studies, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Dr. Abdullah Al Suwaidi from Qatar University introduced a study on “Creativity and Innovation in Charitable, Humanitarian, and Developmental Work,” focusing on challenges and opportunities for organizations in Qatar. Dr. Jad Shaban from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies presented a study on “Enhancing Sustainable Development Applications in Charitable and Humanitarian Work,” emphasizing the integration of innovation and creativity in achieving sustainable development objectives.
