Russian Defense Ministry Reports Successful Interception of 13 Ukrainian Drones

MOSCOW: The Russian Defense Ministry announced that 13 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight by air defense systems across several Russian regions, highlighting ongoing tensions between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the drones were shot down over multiple regions, with specific interceptions reported in Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Kaluga. The ministry detailed that one drone was downed in Voronezh, three in Belgorod, four in Bryansk, four in Kursk, and one in Kaluga.

The Russian Ministry of Defense frequently updates on its military operations, claiming advancements in eastern Ukraine and successes in countering aerial threats. However, the situation on the ground remains uncertain, with conflicting reports emerging since the onset of Russian military action in Ukraine in February 2022.
