Member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), Dr. Shaikh Abdullatif Mahmood Al-Mahmood, has praised Egypt's Islamic Cultural Centre, which was inaugurated on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan this year.
He described it as a cultural, intellectual and religious monument that confirms Egypt's position as a beacon of science and enlightened moderate thought throughout the ages, as it embraces Al-Azhar Al-Shari, which is visited by all those seeking knowledge and enlightened thought from all over the Islamic world.
While attending the official opening of Egypt's Islamic Cultural Centre at the New Administrative Capital, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Dr. Shaikh Al-Mahmood expressed pride in Egypt’s achievements.
He commended Egypt’s pivotal role in the region, being the cornerstone of the security and stability of the Arab world, noting that it has laid the foundations for human fraternity, coexistence and dialogue among religions. He also stressed that Egypt's strength and progress are the strength and progress of all Arab countries.
The SCIA member valued highly the advanced level reached by the brotherly Bahraini-Egyptian relations, hailing the steady growth of bilateral relations under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President El-Sisi.
He affirmed that the long-standing solid Bahraini-Egyptian ties are a distinguished model for fraternal Arab relations, stressing the Kingdom's pride in the value of Egypt's history and civilisation and its honourable contributions as a vital and strategic depth for its Arab and Islamic nations.
He also praised Egypt’s pioneering stances in support of Bahrain’s progress, as well as its role in championing the Arab Nation’s causes.
