Cairo: The Ministry of Culture announced its participation at the 56th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, which takes place from Jan. 23 to Feb. 5, through a pavilion that reflects Qatari identity and heritage.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry will display a group of its publications in its pavilion at the exhibition, along with publications from four Qatari publishing houses. This initiative is part of its support for Qatari publishers and providing them with the opportunity to display their products in international cultural forums.
This marks the largest participation of the State of Qatar in the Cairo International Book Fair. It will feature the participation of the Police College, alongside prominent Qatari publishing houses, namely Dar Al-Watad for Publishing and Distribution, Dar Roza, Katara Publishing House, and the Global Committee for Quranic Reflection.
The Ministry emphasized its commitment to being present at international book fairs, as they are platforms for presenting Qatari intellectual production to a wide audience and showcasing the development in the publishing industry in the country. They aim to build cultural partnerships and enhance cooperation with specialists in culture and publishing.
During its participation in the Cairo International Book Fair, the Ministry plans to contribute to the accompanying cultural events by organizing cultural and heritage seminars and lectures that reflect the Qatari cultural movement.
