Manama, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, today congratulated Saqr Ghobash, following his election as Speaker of the United Arab Emirates Federal National Council (FNC).

The Shura Chairman affirmed that Saqr Ghobash’s success in winning the election unopposed reflected the confidence of the FNC members in his competence, national contributions and efforts to develop legislative work in the United Arab Emirates.

Al Saleh stressed the keenness of the Shura Council to strengthen its cooperation with the UAE's FNC in a way that would serve the countries' common interets, wishing FNC Speaker every success in carrying out his duties.
