The Ukrainian authorities announced that sirens were activated in several provinces to warn of Russian air strikes.
According to Ukrainian media, a state of air alert was declared and sirens sounded in the provinces (Kiev, Poltava, Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Cherkassy and Vinnytsia), in addition to the part under the control of Ukrainian forces in Kherson and Zaporozhye.
Ukrainian media indicated that explosions were heard in the Kharkov and Khmelnitsky provinces.
