The Foreign Minister discusses with his Bahraini counterpart strengthening bilateral relations

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, received on Sunday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, in Baghdad. During the meeting, they reviewed the fraternal bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them to serve common interests. The agenda of the 33rd Arab Summit scheduled to be held next month in Bahrain was discussed, as its holding coincides with the presence of many challenges. In this regard, the Minister stressed that Iraq seeks to have an effective role in this summit and is working to achieve high-level coordination with the Arab brothers to make the summit a success. The two sides also discussed the regional developments taking place in the region, especially the current events in Gaza and the continued attacks by the occupying authority in the Palestinian territories, and the two parties agreed on the need to intensify joint efforts to achieve stability in the region.
