Ramallah - Ma'an - The Turkish government decided to raise the quota for exempting Palestinian dates from customs in the Turkish market from 3,000 tons to 5,000 tons annually. The decision comes in response to the Palestinian request to raise the quota of Palestinian dates exempt from customs, and to facilitate the entry of customs-free Palestinian agricultural products into Turkish markets. In a phone call with Turkish Trade Minister Omar Bolat, Minister of Economy Muhammad Al-Amour welcomed the decision, which strengthens the steadfastness of Palestinian farmers in particular, and expressed his thanks to Turkey, the president, government and people, for all aspects of the continued support that Turkey provides to the Palestinian people, politically and economically, and the relief it provides to our people.
