Istanbul: Turkish security authorities have arrested 12 people in connection with Friday’s armed attack on the Iraqi Consulate in Istanbul.

According to Qatar News Agency, Anadolu Agency cited security sources as saying that the police found the rifle used in the attack as well as a stolen motorcycle and the car used by members of the armed organization.

The investigations are still ongoing by the police. On Friday evening, two individuals on a motorcycle attacked the Iraqi Consulate General in Istanbul with no casualties reported.
