UAE Air Defenses Intercept Iranian Missile and Drone Attacks

Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted multiple missile and drone attacks launched from Iran. The Ministry of Defense confirmed the engagement of ballistic missiles and the deployment of fighter aircraft to counter the threats.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry issued a statement late on Tuesday explaining that the loud noises heard across various regions of the UAE were due to these interception operations. The air defense systems were activated to engage and neutralize the threats, which included ballistic missiles and both drones and cruise drones.

The Ministry had earlier reported the interception of 10 ballistic missiles and 45 drones approaching from Iran. These developments occur in the context of heightened regional tensions, with Gulf states remaining vigilant due to escalating security threats.
