UAE President and Qatari Prime Minister Discuss Regional Security Amid Renewed Tensions

Abu dhabi: HH President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional developments.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting began with HE the Prime Minister conveying greetings from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HH the UAE President, expressing wishes for his good health and the prosperity of the UAE people. In response, HH the UAE President sent his greetings to HH the Amir, wishing him and the Qatari people continued progress and development.

The leaders focused on enhancing bilateral relations and explored ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields to serve the common interests of their countries and benefit their peoples. They also discussed the serious repercussions of regional developments on security and stability at both regional and international levels.

HE the Prime Minister emphasized Qatar's condemnation of the renewed Iranian attacks targeting civilian sites in the UAE using missiles and drones. He affirmed Qatar's solidarity with the UAE and support for measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
