Doha: The Ukrainian army announced on Thursday that the number of Russian soldiers killed and wounded since the beginning of the war on Ukrainian territory on Feb. 24, 2022, has risen to about 854,280 soldiers, including 1,250 who were killed or wounded during the past 24 hours.
According to Qatar News Agency, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in a statement that Ukrainian forces have destroyed 10,040 Russian tanks, 20,894 armored combat vehicles, 23,034 artillery systems, 1,278 multiple launch rocket systems, and 1,063 air defense systems since the beginning of the war.
The statement added that 370 aircrafts, 331 helicopters, 25,072 drones, 3,063 cruise missiles, 28 warships, one submarine, 37,096 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 3,744 special equipment units were also destroyed.
Reports from Moscow and Kyiv conflict over the factual situation of their ongoing war, with the reality of the battlefield since February 2022 remaining uncertain.
