The Negev - Together - Israeli authorities' vehicles and bulldozers, with police protection, began today, Wednesday, to demolish 47 homes belonging to the Abu Asa family in the Hebron Valley near the village of Umm Butin in the Negev region within the 48 territories. The Higher Guidance Committee for the Arabs of the Negev explained that the Israeli authorities are trying to force the residents of the Abu Asa family to move to another place, in order to extend the road southward. She continued: "The police intend to prevent residents from demonstrating, gathering, and protesting against the crime of demolition and deportation, which is unprecedented in the history of the Negev, and which is being practiced by the Israeli government, police officers, and demolition vehicles against Arab citizens in the Negev."
