Abu Hamour: The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs’ Department of Religious Call and Guidance has honored the winners who competed in the annual sport tournament that was held for students of the Holy Qur’an learning centers. The event was held at the ministry’s playgrounds in Abu Hamour from December 22 to 31, featuring participation from 16 teams in the 13-15 age category.

According to Qatar News Agency, the tournament saw strong contests among the participating teams, culminating in the team of Aisha bint Abi Bakr clinching the championship title after defeating the Al Kisai team in the final faceoff. The department emphasized that the event was designed to enhance awareness, promote Islamic values, and hone students’ skills by dedicating a competitive environment to turbocharge them with beneficial sporting energies.
