MADRID: Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe will be out of action over a left thigh injury, the club confirmed on Thursday. The injury, sustained during a recent Champions League match, leaves Mbappe unavailable for upcoming games, including an imminent La Liga match. According to Qatar News Agency, the club released a statement on its official website detailing the injury diagnosis following tests conducted by Real Madrid Medical Services. The statement provided that Mbappe, who is 25 years old, has suffered an injury to the thigh of his left leg. However, the club did not specify the timeframe for his recovery. Mbappe sustained the injury during Real Madrid's 3-2 victory over Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday. As a result, the France captain will not participate in the team's upcoming La Liga clash against Rayo Vallecano in Vallecas. Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid from Paris Saint Germain in early 2024, will be a notable absence from the squad during his recovery period.
