MCIT+ Saudi Delegation Learns about QDG Achievements

A Saudi delegation affiliated to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT+), headed by HE Eng. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Suwaiyan, Governor of the Digital Government Authority, was briefed on the achievements of digital transformation in the State of Qatar, with reference to Qatar Digital Government (QDG) 2020 strategy and the initiatives launched in this framework.

 

Ms. Mashael Al Hammadi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Information Technology Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, gave a presentation to the Saudi delegation visiting Doha, as part of the current visit of HE Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the State of Qatar.

 

The Saudi delegation was briefed about the goals accomplished in accordance with QDG 2020 strategy, which achieved high completion rates, in addition to the several vital projects that have been executed, government shared applications, provision of support for the strategy’s implementation, operation of government infrastructure projects, and the launch of many online services.

 

It also learned about Qatar’s journey towards digital transformation, which began many years ago within the framework of tightly prepared strategies and plans originating from Qatar National Vision 2030, in which QDG 2020 strategy acted as the roadmap towards achieving many accomplishments towards digital transformation in the State of Qatar.

 

In addition, the delegation listened to a brief summary of QDG 2026 Strategy, which will be launched in the near future.
