Doha: The Israeli occupation forces launched a widespread arrest and raid campaign across various parts of the occupied West Bank on Tuesday. Local and security sources told Palestinian news agency (WAFA) that the occupation forces detained 17 Palestinians during raids on Askar and Balata camps, as well as the eastern area of Nablus. The forces also assaulted three Palestinians, including a woman, by beating them.
According to Qatar News Agency, five more Palestinians were detained in Hebron and Tulkarm, while four others were arrested in Salfit and Tubas. The forces also assaulted two Palestinians after storming and searching their homes.
In the same context, the occupation forces set up military checkpoints on the streets of Beit Ummar town in Hebron, restricting the movement of Palestinians and their vehicles until they withdrew from the town in the morning.
The occupation forces also stormed several villages and towns across various cities, including Tubas, Nablus, Ramallah and Al Bireh, and Hebron. They broke into homes, searched them and vandalized their contents; however, no arrests were reported.
The Israeli assaults on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have escalated in recent months, with an increase in raids, arrests, and random gunfire in various Palestinian cities and towns.
