Paris: The State of Qatar took part in the Ministerial Conference on Syria, held in Paris, with representation from HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi. In his address, His Excellency expressed appreciation to the French Republic for hosting the meeting, highlighting the pivotal developments in Syria that signal hope for reconstruction and stability after years of turmoil.
According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency stressed the importance of international cooperation to assist the Syrian people in achieving progress and prosperity. He emphasized that Syria’s stability is crucial not only for the Arab region but globally. His Excellency also reaffirmed the commitment to Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and independence while condemning external violations.
His Excellency reiterated Qatar’s steadfast support for the Syrian people, advocating for an inclusive political process that strengthens Syria’s social fabric and national institutions. He welcomed initiatives towards restructuring the Syrian state and expressed Qatar’s anticipation for further steps towards national reconciliation and a peaceful political transition.

He called for enhanced international support through humanitarian aid and initiatives to address the crisis’s aftermath, urging the removal of barriers hindering international assistance.
