Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index lost 0.13 percent at the beginning of Monday's trading, losing 13.54 points and thus falling to 10,391 points, compared to the closing of Sunday's session, under pressure from five sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the stock market figures attributed the decline in the general index to the negative performance of the telecommunications sector by 0.38 percent, the industrial sector by 0.31 percent, the real estate sector by 0.27 percent, the insurance sector by 0.17 percent, and the transportation sector by 0.03 percent. On the other hand, the performance was positive for the consumer goods and services sector by 0.01 percent and the banking and financial services sector by 0.08 percent.
At around 10:00 am, QSE recorded 1,622 transactions worth QAR 39.487 million, distributed over 17.293 million shares.
