During last December, the efforts of the General Cleanliness Department of the Public Services Affairs Sector lead to the removal of about 76,334 tons of waste including domestic, construction, and solid waste. Furthermore, about 25,557 tons of random litter waste were also removed.
5,788 damaged tires, 38 discarded informative panels, 548 deceased animals, and 225 abandoned cars were removed. On the other hand, 169 violations of the Public Hygiene Law were drawn up. The department also executed 1,625 public service requests, deployed 620 new waste containers, concluded 926 container provision agreements, and washed 8986 existing containers.
