Manama, Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), inaugurated the first Bahrain Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Congress, organised by government hospitals, in cooperation with the Royal Medical Services and Education Plus, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Bahrain Bay. Dr. Jalila bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, and Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Governmental Hospitals, as well as several officials in the medical sector attended the congress. The SCH Chairman highlighted that the event was an opportunity to discuss developments and exchange ideas, which would enhance the medical sectors leadership in the Kingdom and reflect on the care provided to people. Dr. Maryam Sahwan, Head of the ENT Department at Government Hospitals, noted in her speech that the congress was attended by 40 participants from various countries and focused on important topics such as cochlear implants and hearing aids, including nose and ear problems.
