Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, condemned the ongoing Zionist aggression on the West Bank for about 7 days, stressing that the violence and destruction that accompany it "torn apart" Jenin Governorate. Lazzarini said in a post on the X platform: "Meanwhile in the West Bank, for 7 days, Jenin has been torn apart by violence and destruction, causing loss of life and injuries, including among civilians, and severe damage to infrastructure." He explained that the residents of the governorate have limited access to food, water and medicine due to the current situation, noting that /UNRWA/ is working with humanitarian and local partners to provide urgently needed assistance. Lazzarini called for immediate protection of civilians throughout the West Bank. The suffering of Palestinians in the city of Jenin and its camp is increasing due to the interruption of water to homes as a result of the destruction of the main water suppl y lines in the governorate. It is worth noting that the death toll in the West Bank has risen since the beginning of the Zionist aggression, last Wednesday, to 34 Palestinians, including 19 in the governorate of Jenin alone, which raises the death toll in the West Bank since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7 to 685 martyrs.
