Basra Police Seize Three Kilograms of Drugs in the Border Strip Area with Iran

Police forces seized three kilograms of drugs in the Shalamcheh area in the Iraqi-Iranian border area, east of Basra. The Commander of Basra Police, Major General Latif Abdul-Ridha Al-Saad, said in a statement: "The security forces arrested a wanted suspect in an investigative case at the Khor Al-Zubair Police Station affiliated with the Safwan Police Department." He added: "After a thorough investigation with the accused, he confessed to the presence of a quantity of drugs buried in the Shalamcheh area on the Iranian-Iraqi border strip. Based on his confession, the judge's approval was obtained, and in coordination with the National Security Service and the Border Guard, three kilograms of hashish were seized."
