GCC Denounces Attack on UAE Consulate General in Iraqi Kurdistan

Abu dhabi: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, condemned in the strongest possible terms the attack that targeted the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Iraqi Kurdistan.

According to Qatar News Agency, Albudaiwi emphasized that the attack constitutes a violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. He noted that it represents an escalation that threatens the security and safety of diplomats and personnel serving at such missions.

He reiterated the GCC's full support and solidarity with the UAE, reaffirming the Council's rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that affect security and stability in the region.
