Pakistan Signals Forthcoming US-Iran Deal

Pakistan: Pakistan voiced optimism on Wednesday over the prospects of a swift agreement between the United States and Iran to end the ongoing conflict.

According to Qatar News Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesman Tahir Andrabi said Islamabad continues to support diplomatic efforts toward a peaceful resolution, expressing confidence that Washington and Tehran could reach a deal sooner rather than later. He also called for a sustainable political settlement to restore regional stability.

The remarks came as Iran said it was reviewing the latest US peace proposals, while US President Donald Trump warned of renewed military strikes if no agreement is reached, including measures to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping. In a social media post, Trump said the two-month conflict could end soon and that disrupted oil and natural gas shipments may resume.

Media reports circulating Tuesday indicated momentum toward a breakthrough, with Pakistani sources revealing a one-page draft framework containing 14 clauses ready to be presented to both Washington and Tehran.
