Ramallah: Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs confirmed today that 16 Palestinian detainees in the Israeli occupation’s Megiddo prison are facing brutal detention conditions, where they are subjected to isolation and continuous starvation.
According to Qatar News Agency, the commission said in a report today that the detainees endure ongoing abuse, including severe physical assaults, intrusive searches, and prolonged exposure to harsh lighting that disrupts their sleep. Additionally, the substandard quality of food has led to considerable weight loss among the detainees.
The commission pointed out that this policy has escalated since the start of the genocide on Gaza in October 2023, serving as a form of retaliation and slow killing of the detainees.
