Doha: The Department of Meteorology has warned of strong winds and high seas at first offshore on Friday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the department's daily weather report indicates that inshore conditions until 6:00 p.m. will be relatively hot during the day and partly cloudy, with a chance of light rain in certain areas. Offshore, conditions will involve scattered clouds, turning partly cloudy at times, with a likelihood of light rain in some places.
Inshore winds are expected to be mainly northwesterly at 5-15 knots (KT), while offshore winds will range from westerly to northwesterly at 5-15 KT, with gusts potentially reaching up to 22 KT initially. The sea conditions inshore will vary between 1 and 3 feet, whereas offshore seas will range from 2 to 4 feet, potentially rising to as much as 7 feet initially.
Visibility is anticipated to be between 5 and 9 kilometers both inshore and offshore.
