The Al Shaqab Racing owned mare TUNED (Toronado x Zagora) completed a hat-trick of victories with a win in the All Along Stakes (Listed) at Laurel Park (US) on Saturday, October 2nd.
Trained by Graham Motion, the five-year-old romped clear to success under a fine ride by jockey Feargal Lynch. This was a first victory at Listed level for the former Jean-Claude Rouget-trained TUNED.
In search of a hat-trick coming into the 1,800m race, TUNED had little trouble overturning her five rivals and passed the post three and three-quarter lengths clear of her stable mate OYSTER BOX (Tapit) in second, with SWEET SAMI D (First Samurai) a further two lengths back in third.
Bred by her owners Al Shaqab Racing, TUNED is a daughter of Haras De Bouquetot stallion TORONADO (High Chapparal). Her dam ZAGORA (Green Desert) won ten races during her career, including two Group 1’s – the 2012 Breeders’ Cup Fillies and Mares Turf at Santa Anita and the 2011 Diana Stakes at Saratoga.
